Serving the community is at the very heart of The American Legion’s core beliefs. Lead by more than 14,000 American Legion Posts in 55 different Departments, in the U.S., France, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the Philippines, these programs make a difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of veterans, veterans families, and in the local youth each year.

The men and women of the American Legion who take the time to volunteer in promoting American legion programs and activities are what allows us to make a difference locally, across the nation and around the world. Serving others is who we are and what we do.
